Charles56	Someone on the forum asked which app is easiest and most reliable for booking taxis in Abu Dhabi. I've heard that taxi apps in Abu Dhabi offer different rates, car options, and payment methods. Does anyone have experience with this who can advise on what to look for when choosing a taxi in the city? I'm planning to fly there in the winter and want to plan everything in advance.

I often travel there and usually use Uber UAE and Careem. It's great that both services offer several fare levels. Standard economy class trips cost about 7 dirhams. There is a guide on blog.gettransfer that states the fare is 1.2–1.8 dirhams per kilometer and 0.2–0.5 dirhams per minute, but I don't know if that's true. The hardest thing for me is always calling a taxi during rush hour when they can raise their rates. In the Abu Dhabi taxi app, though, the prices are fixed if you book in advance. If you're taking a short trip, though, the nearest driver will arrive quickly, so you won't have to wait long. Are you on vacation? Have you decided where you're going to hang out yet?
